Solutions30 Italy collaborated with ViscaSolar Srl on the construction and commissioning of a new photovoltaic plant in the municipality of Sale (AL), supporting renewable energy production and the energy transition in the region.
The new solar park, which entered into operation in June 2025 and is located at Strada Comunale Viscarda 3, has an installed capacity of 997.92 kWp and will produce more than 1.6 million kWh per year. This will help meet the energy needs of more than 600 households and prevent the emission of approximately 649 tons of CO₂ annually. The facility stands on an area of 2.178 hectares that was previously used as a sand and gravel quarry and later restored for agricultural use, and is now converted into infrastructure serving sustainability and territorial regeneration.
Description of the “ViscaSolar” plant
The plant has a nominal capacity of 997.92 kWp and consists of 1,458 photovoltaic modules installed on single-axis trackers. The modules—divided into 1,296 units of 685 Wp and 162 units of 680 Wp—are arranged in three sub-fields of about 333 kWp each, paired with 300 kW inverters.
The output current at 800 V alternating current is stepped up to 15,000 V medium voltage via a transformer and routed to a low-/medium-voltage delivery substation. The electricity produced is then fed into the grid through an underground power line connected to the secondary substation on Via Viscarda and subsequently to the primary substation in Tortona. An additional transformer enables low-voltage generation (230–400 V) with a capacity of approximately 15–20 kWp to power the site’s lighting and security systems.
Monitoring and control
The plant is equipped with an advanced monitoring and data acquisition system that enables real-time visualization of the main operating parameters: power, energy produced, voltages, operating status, and environmental conditions. The system also allows prompt management of any anomalies, optimizing operational efficiency and supporting predictive maintenance.
Environmental benefits
With an estimated annual production of 1,622,589 kWh, the plant will make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse-gas emissions and increasing the supply of clean energy. The site—flat, well exposed to sunlight, and free from landscape restrictions—has ideal characteristics for photovoltaic generation. The area has been enclosed with low-visual-impact green metal fencing and enhanced with a mixed shrub hedge to encourage landscape integration and biodiversity. Converting the site into a renewable energy facility represents a concrete example of land regeneration and sustainable development.
A valuable partnership
Through this agreement, Solutions30 Italy contributed to the technical and operational activities related to the construction and commissioning of the plant, confirming its role as a technology partner for innovative and sustainable energy projects. The collaboration between Solutions30 Italy and ViscaSolar Srl represents a concrete example of synergy between technological expertise and sustainable development, with the shared goal of accelerating the spread of renewable energy and enhancing disused areas through projects with a strong positive environmental impact.
“For Solutions30, participating in the energy transition and playing a leading role by contributing to the improvement of energy solutions with a stronger focus on sustainability is a strategic factor. We are very pleased with this project, which originated in our country and can become a benchmark for the sector also at the international level,” comments Flavio Gilardi of Solutions30 Italy.
The renewable energy sector and, more broadly, activities related to environmental sustainability are of particular importance to Solutions30’s international strategy. With this new project, the Group can also expand its portfolio of activities in Italy, marking what the company intends to be the first in a series of similar initiatives.
