parc photovoltaïque SEM24

Périgueux (Dordogne), July 1, 2025 – The energy transition continues in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Solutions30 Energies has been selected by SEM 24 Périgord Énergies, a semi-public company in Dordogne, to design and build a 4.41 MWp ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in the municipality of La Douze (24).

As part of this tender, Solutions30 Energies was awarded the “Structure” and “Electrical Engineering” lots, confirming its expertise in the execution of solar projects across the country. The project is led by SEM 24 Périgord Énergies, a semi-public company initiated by the elected representatives of the Dordogne Departmental Energy Syndicate (SDE 24), its majority shareholder. SEM 24 develops renewable energy projects and actively contributes to accelerating the local energy transition by investing in sustainable infrastructure.

“This project perfectly illustrates our mission: enabling local authorities, through SEM 24 Périgord Énergies, to invest in renewable energy by relying on the expertise and know-how of private partners. With Solutions30 Energies, we combine strong technical capabilities, the ability to meet our commitments, a deep understanding of local issues, and a genuine willingness to co-develop a sustainable project,” says Philippe Ducène, President of SEM 24 and SDE 24.

For the “Structure” component of the project, Solutions30 Energies will rely on its subsidiary SOTEC, a recognized specialist in solar metal structures, in which Solutions30 recently increased its stake to 60%, thus strengthening its value chain and ability to manage large-scale solar projects in-house.

“The integration of SOTEC into the Solutions30 group enables us to offer turnkey solutions with enhanced control over the entire implementation chain. Whether it’s our local presence in the region or our ability to develop a sustainable and agile industrial project, both reflect our vision of providing an effective and lasting response to our clients’ expectations. I am particularly pleased with the La Douze project, which is a symbolic illustration of this ambition.” – declares Antoine Mirabel, Managing Director of Solutions30 Energies

An ambitious timeline for commissioning before the end of 2025

With construction scheduled to begin in August 2025 and a goal of operational commissioning before year-end, Solutions30 Energies’ engineering teams are fully engaged in the implementation studies.

“At completion, this plant will be able to power nearly 1,000 households, with an estimated annual output of about 5,000 MWh, avoiding the emission of more than 400 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year. It will be operated directly by SEM 24 Périgord Énergies, thus strengthening the region’s energy sovereignty and reducing the department’s carbon footprint,” explains Philippe Ducène.

A project serving the region’s energy transition

Beyond the direct environmental benefits, this project aligns with the goals of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Dordogne department in terms of energy transition, local resilience, and sustainable economic development.

“We are proud to support regions in the realization of their energy projects. Our mission is to put our expertise at the service of decarbonization and the localization of energy, as close as possible to citizens,” concludes Philippe Ducène.
